This is a great way to quit your day job a niche website is a website which is developed for a specific market e.g. play better golf, dog obedience training. Rather than a themed website e.g. golf, dogs. Niche websites are more specific than themed websites. If this is your first niche website I would recommend you use a niche which you already know a lot of information about or that interests you as you need to write information about the niche.

With a niche website you need to look at a broad market e.g. golf but then find long tail keywords which have a low competition and are more specific e.g. improve golf game. It is easier to rank in google for these types of keywords but because they are more specific you can offer them what they want. What you are basically doing when looking for your niche is trying to find what people want to know and giving it to them. Keyword research is a really important part of niche websites and without them you can't making your online income.
